Early Autumn Butterfly
Autumn arrived in my hometown of Taos as I began this neckpiece. After a particularly rainy season the greens and sages turned bronze and gold, and the butterflies grew fat and lazy in the afternoon sunshine. This piece combines embroidery, netting, and peyote. Approximately 18" long necklace. Pendant/Piece at bottom hangs approximately 4" from the beaded necklace.

This necklace was made for the Kalmbach Bead Soup facebook event for the publication of Lori Anderson's book. I got a packet of beads supplied by Eva of Grand River Beads in Northern Ohio. I added some beads of my own and went to town! Swarovski, recycled glass, brass, copper, glass, seed beads and a unch of ther stuff I had hanging around my house. Necklace is 28" long, can be shortened but not lengthened. Danielle is wearing it shortened in the back.

With Regards Necklace Beadwoven Collar

This piece was made using one of Kaffe Fassett's excellent knitting patterns as its centerpiece. Worked in square stitch, ladder stitch and straight fringing techniques, I was really done with fringe by the time it was complete. Collar is approximately 16" across the top & hangs 10" from collar.

Made of all glass with a gold and amethyst clasp. 200 beads per square inch.

Papagena's Necklace

This piece the winner of Christina's (Good Quill Hunting) BIRDS OF A FEATHER Challenge.

One of the very first movies my parents took me to see was the 1975 version of Trollfl�jten the Swedish language version of The Magic Flute directed by the famed Ingmar Bergman. My favorite characters were, and still are, Papageno and his bird- love Papagena. This early introduction to opera possibly led to my graduate degree in theatrical design.

Materials: Coque feathers, rayon trim, Czech and Japanese seed beads, tigereye, pink quartz, yellow citrine, etched shell, copper, antiqued brass chain, sterling clasp. 17". Can be lengthened but not shortened.

Spiral Dance Rainforest Necklace

This project was designed in two major steps. First, the spiral beadwork was worked around a core I strung on flexwire. Later, the fringe was added.
