NEW! Learn to make your own version of this beaded collar necklace. It has my signature fringe, but is fashioned in colors I don't generally use. It is made of legally obtained abalone shell, Swarovski crystal and pearls and Toho glass seed beads. The center front from top to bottom of fringe is approximately 5". This necklace won the January 2013 challenge for The Etsy Beadweaver Group.

NOTE: There are restrictions on harvesting and shipping abalone shells. This tutorial includes some places to purchase your abalone.

Students need to be comfortable with peyote stitch in the round and be well versed in bead weaving. This instruction packet is for ADVANCED seed beaders.
